While on the road in 2020 I committed to the 100 Day Project as a way to explore my creative practice. My goal was to complete the 100 Days by putting some effort towards the project every day. I didn’t try to end with 100 pieces until nearly the end and I saw that it was working out close to that number. I found through this experience new ways of using my media and subjects. A better understanding of my voice as an artist. Inspiration from my time in the southwest. Time to be thoughtful about the “why’s” behind everything I was doing. And I was able to explore new ideas with absolutely no pressure to fulfill them, other than to add work time in every day. All works are 5×7. Media include: acrylic, oil pastel, ink, worn linen, polaroid lift, acrylic gel textures, heavy weight paper, cardboard, paper towel, found feathers, fern, leaf, other plant matter, and string.
