This painting was created from reference photographs taken by me in the southwest. I painted it while traveling through New Mexico. It’s been on view in several galleries.This original painting features the worn/reclaimed linen over substrate technique I use. I leave a natural torn edge and the threads cross into the image. I paint to keep the original texture of the fabric. I also work to create a water staining effect with the paints.
